2019 Inaugural Conference

On Friday May 17th 2019, we were thrilled to welcome an exciting gathering of participants to the National University of Ireland Galway campus for our inaugural MSI conference. The plenary speaker was Dr. Ben Levitas, of Goldsmiths University of London.

Entitled Modernist Legacies and Futures, our 2019 conference explored the grappling over modernism’s aftermath, afterlives, and its perpetual relevance.
